Global Action and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Minor

The minor in Global Action and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) requires 18 hours in coursework divided between the departments of Global Studies and Human Geography and Management. Open to all majors, the minor will equip students with an understanding of management principles in the non-government environment as well as an introduction to contemporary global issues that are increasingly addressed by non-government actors.

GEOG 4325 - Global Geo-Political Economics 3 credit hours
GEOG 4360 - Cultural Geography 3 credit hours
GEOG 4550 - Global Issues 3 credit hours

Three hours from the following:

GS 3300 - Global Studies Internship 1 to 12 credit hours (completed with an approved global NGO)
GS 3990 - China and the World 3 credit hours (on an approved NGO-related project)
