The University Honors Minor requires 29 hours. All courses within the minor may also be used to fulfill General Education requirements, major or minor requirements, or electives. With an advisor’s approval, a maximum of 9 credit hours of study abroad or a maximum of 6 credit hours of internship credits may be used toward these requirements. A 3.25 overall GPA is required.

Required Upper-Division Courses (8 hours)
Lower-Division Honors Courses (18 hours)
- Any 1000/2000 Honors-level sections
- 3000/4000 Honors-level courses
- Approved study abroad or internship courses
- Can include up to 9 credit hours of the following: AP credits with scores of 4 or 5; Governor’s School credit with grade of A; and approved IB credits
Buchanan Fellows (19 hours)
Buchanan Fellows must register for the Buchanan sections of the courses listed. Any waivers or substitutions must have prior approval from the dean of the Honors College.
Upper-Division Elective (2-3 hours)
- Any 3000/4000 Honors section OR
- Honors upper-division contract OR
- Approved upper-division study abroad or internship substitution
