ECON 4680 - Health Economics3 credit hours Prerequisites: ECON 2420 ; junior standing preferred. Introduces the application of economic models to health and the health care industry. Topics include individual health behaviors, demand for health care, health insurance and other institutions in health care markets, the role of government in health care, and health care reform. Empirical results and policy applications discussed.
