PRST 6200 - Globalization and the Professions

3 credit hours

(Same as SOC 6200.) Introduces students to the fundamental concepts and key issues surrounding globalization and the professions. Examines the various descriptive and explanatory accounts of globalization with a focus on both the positive and negative components of globalization. Reviews brief history of paid work in the U.S. with a particular eye on the ways that professions have been shaped by globalization processes.
