MUTH 3020 - Commercial Songwriting

3 credit hours

(Same as RIM 3020.) Prerequisites: RI majors - admission to candidacy and RIM 1230 or MUTH 1110 or permission of instructor; others - permission of instructor. Organization of ideas, words, and music into the writing of popular songs. Analysis of songwriting trends. Students will be expected to play guitar or piano and sing.
