The major in Foreign Languages with an Applied Language - French concentration consists of 27 semester hours (excluding 1010). The concentration is designed to prepare students for careers in emergent and in-demand fields that require or are enriched by proficiency in a second language. It is also intended to prepare students to thrive in an increasingly global economy and multicultural society.

Before beginning the junior year, the student should file a degree plan with his or her advisor.
