The 15-hour minor in Communication is very flexible and is designed to increase the student’s ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds in the workplace and professional settings.

Required Course (6 hours)

Minors must take six credit hours of lower-division courses from COMM courses in the True Blue Core. These include:

COMM 2100 - Introduction to Human Communication 3 credit hours
COMM 2200 - Audience-Centered Communication 3 credit hours
COMM 2300 - Interpersonal Communication 3 credit hours
COMM 2560 - Intercultural Communication 3 credit hours
COMM 2830 - Introduction to Online Communication 3 credit hours

Electives (9 hours)

In addition, students must take 9 elective hours of upper-division COMM courses.

NOTE: Students may take 3 hours of COMM 4260 or 3 hours of COMM 4900 but not both. Also, no more than 3 hours of COMM 4800 may be taken.
