Chemistry Minor

The minor in Chemistry consists of at least 19 semester hours of chemistry. At least four upper-division hours must be taken at MTSU. Consult your advisor to determine which courses will satisfy minor requirements. A 2.00 GPA is required.

Required (8 hours)

CHEM 1110 - General Chemistry I 4 credit hours AND
CHEM 1111 - General Chemistry I Lab 0 credit hours
CHEM 1120 - General Chemistry II 4 credit hours AND
CHEM 1121 - General Chemistry II Lab 0 credit hours

Electives (11 hours)

11 hours of chemistry, all at the 2000 level or above. At least 4 hours must be upper-division.

NOTE: The following courses cannot be used to satisfy a Chemistry minor: CHEM 2880 , CHEM 2930 , CHEM 2940 , CHEM 3000 , CHEM 3880 , CHEM 3890 , CHEM 3970 , CHEM 3980 , CHEM 4580 , CHEM 4740 , and CHEM 4880 .
