Department of Electronic Media Communication
The digital animation specialty within the Electronic Media Communication program is designed for those who wish to work professionally in digital animation and/or digital imaging, including motion graphics, video games, character animation, visual effects, and image manipulation. This specialty blends theoretical and hands-on approaches to electronic media education. Students are encouraged to complete their education with internships in professional settings.

- Digital animation students should take the first courses in their Art minor prior to taking digital animation courses.
- At least 65 semester hours in liberal arts and sciences
- 80 hours outside the college of Mass Communication
