Department of Speech and Theatre
The major in Speech and Theatre is designed to provide students with maximum opportunities to develop theoretical and practical appreciation of all phases of human communication. For students following the Communication Studies concentration, preparation is offered for the pursuit of graduate study in a number of fields or for entry into communication work in business, industry, and government.
All students majoring in Speech and Theatre must complete COMM 2200 (Fundamentals of Communication) and earn a grade of C or better for the course to count as a prerequisite or to count towards graduation.
Students majoring in Speech and Theatre must receive a grade of C (2.00) or better in all courses in their concentration for the course to count as a prerequisite or to count toward graduation.
