Programs in the department lead to the Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Nutrition and Food Science, Public Health, and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Minors are offered in Healthcare Administration, Health and Human Performance, Health and Physical Education, Health Care Services, Public Health, Nutrition and Food Science, and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

MTSU Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic

The Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic is open to all students at the University in need of speech, language, and hearing  diagnosis and therapy. Diagnostic and therapeutic services for persons in the midstate area with speech-language and hearing problems are also provided for a nominal fee. Students in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology major work in the clinic under the direct supervision of faculty members certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Graduate Study

The department offers a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Community Health. Degree requirements and a list of courses offered for graduate credit are published in the Graduate Catalog.
