PHED 4990 - Seminar in Teaching Physical Education

3 credit hours

Prerequisites: PHED 2800 and PHED 3900. A comprehensive review of the organization and management of physical education, presenting students with skills and strategies for becoming effective beginning teachers and administrators. Crucial issues and trends affecting the fields of physical education and sport discussed, including issues of advocacy, legal liability, alternative teaching strategies, ethics and professionalism, diversity, classroom management, and career planning.
