LIBS 6700 - Special Libraries and Librarianship3 credit hours Prerequisite: LIBS 6000 . Examines the contexts and administrative functions of special libraries. Students will garner a clear understanding of what special libraries are, how special libraries operate, what the responsibilities of being a special librarian are, the methods of librarianship used by special librarians, and the professional and institutional development of special libraries.
