ENGR 4550 - Introduction to Robotics

3 credit hours
Prerequisites: ENGR 3590  and MATH 2010 . Fundamentals of robots, applications in research and industrial robotics, homogeneous transformations, forward and inverse kinematics of serial manipulators. Additional topics include parallel robots, manipulator dynamics, controls, path planning, and optimization. Hands-on activities such as field trips, robot programming, and projects are incorporated.
