HIST 4650 - Religious Experience in America

3 credit hours
Prerequisite: Six hours of 2000-2999 HIST courses. Explores the nature of religion as experienced in American history focusing on the questions “How has religion affected America?” and “How has America affected religion?” Emphasis on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and on the contact of and exchanges among traditions such as Protestant/Catholic Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Eastern religions, and Animism.
