ECON 7300 - Economic Applications of Machine Learning3 credit hours Prerequisites: ECON 7060, ECON 7070, and permission of the department. Introduction to machine learning from the perspective of economics. The course will cover leading machine learning methods, with an emphasis on causal inference using causal forests. Model selection and prediction methods are also covered. Students will work with real economic data to complete data assignments using Python and R.
