PS 4650 - Totalitarianism

3 credit hours

Prerequisites: PS 1005, PS 1010, and PS 1015 or permission of instructor. Examines totalitarianism as a non-democratic system, movement, and body of ideas concerning human nature, reason, and power. Includes readings in communism, fascism, and dissidents, such as Lenin, Mussolini, Schmitt, Solzhenitsyn, Orwell, Arendt, Havel, and Hoffer.
