MATH 3340 - Statistics and Probability for Teaching3 credit hours Prerequisite: MATH 1530 or MATH 2050 with a C or better. Supports the development of prospective middle grades and secondary teachers’ knowledge of statistics and probability. Examines in greater depth statistics and probability topics to which the student has prior exposure; emphasizes the relevance and implications of these topics to the middle school and secondary classrooms. Attention will be given to exploratory data analysis, probability, statistical association, and simulation-based inference.
