SPSE 6715 - Applied Research and Practice in Teaching English as an International Language3 credit hours Prerequisite: YOED 6030 or permission of department. Provides opportunities for examination of current research, principles, and effective practices in teaching English as an International Language (EIL). Examines specific EIL methods, strategies, and techniques appropriate for teaching EIL in a variety of learning settings. Content and course activities include the development and implementation of standards-based lessons and application of methods for teaching EIL. Applied research and fieldwork in an EIL setting required. Fieldwork required.
