PS 4190 - Contemporary Middle East Politics3 credit hours Prerequisite: PS 1010 or permission of instructor. Comparative study of political institutions, political processes, political dynamics, and behavior in the Middle East and North Africa. Emphasizes historical, socio-cultural, and ideological forces that have shaped politics in the region, including Zionism, Islamism, Arab nationalism, colonialism, and the Palestinian Conflict.
