CMT 1100 - Introduction to Construction Systems3 credit hours Introduces the major systems encountered when managing construction. Includes those operations of the residential and commercial construction industry, their similarities and how they differ in scope and daily practice. Basic entry-level plan reading skills, specifications, estimating and scheduling concepts incorporated as part of the business management functions pertaining to the construction industry. Seminar style to include student research, guest lecturers, and potential site visits. Required for graduation in Construction Management and should be taken prior to beginning CM upper-division coursework.
