1 credit hourA beginning group piano class for non-music majors. Prior knowledge of the piano not assumed. Skills covered by the class include reading and playing of pieces, basic exercises for the development of technique, a variety of short examples based on five-finger positions, and basic music theory. Students work at a digital Roland keyboard in class; includes weighted keys and individual headphones.
