AERO 3710 - Unmanned Aircraft3 credit hours Prerequisite: AERO 1710 with minimum grade of C. Web-enhanced course introduces students to elements that comprise the unmanned aircraft system (UAS). Students will apply concepts acquired during online classroom sessions and construct different unmanned aircraft, train to operate using existing simulators, and conduct actual flight-testing during the lab section of this course. UAS data collection and analysis also incorporated. Final project will be the design, development, and construction of a Group 1 unmanned aircraft which will serve as the core unmanned vehicle used in subsequent UAS courses.
