RIM 4580 - Sound for Picture

3 credit hours

Prerequisites: RI majors - admission to candidacy, RIM 4200, and RIM 4400 or concurrent enrollment RIM 4400 (corequisite); others - permission of instructor. In-depth, interactive study of sound and its relationship to picture. Time code, synchronization, workflow, data interchange, sound recording and editing, ADR, Foley, routing structures, sound mixing, and delivery methods. Demonstrations and lab use digital audio workstations and controllers found in professional facilities. Laboratory required.
