ET 5280 - Computer-Aided Manufacturing: Numerical Control (NC)3 credit hours Role of NC in today’s manufacturing environment; machines and machine control systems of a typical installation; justification. Emphasis on writing and debugging programs for a three-axis milling machine and a two-axis turning machine utilizing CNC and computer-aided part programming. For those with little or no experience with NC or those seeking to broaden their knowledge of NC. Two hours lecture and three hours laboratory.
