PSY 4655 - Foundations of Mental Health Counseling3 credit hours Prerequisites: PSY 1410 and PSY 3230 or equivalent. History, roles, and duties of the professional mental health counselor. Managed care and third party reimbursement issues, administration and supervision of mental health services, and other salient issues relating to the role of the professional mental health counselor. Preparation for graduate-level training in mental health counseling.
