ET 3615 - Principles of Electricity3 credit hours Prerequisite: MATH 1710 or MATH 1730 . An overview of basic electrical circuits and systems, direct current circuits, alternating current circuits, and electrical devices and control schemes. Electrical motors, relays, solenoids, transformers, and power supplies examined. National Electric Code also examined. For students enrolled in Construction Management or Concrete Industry Management. Laboratory exercises stress the use of test instruments and the construction of basic electrical circuits. Two hours lecture and three hours laboratory.
