ABAS 3490 - Poultry Production and Marketing3 credit hours Prerequisites: ABAS 1410 ; junior-level classification or higher. A comprehensive study of commercial chicken production. Topics include the structure of the U.S. commercial chicken industries; poultry housing and equipment; broiler, broiler breeder, hatchery, and commercial layer management; and poultry/egg processing. Field trips used to supplement course materials. Lecture/lab. Offered Spring only.
