The program leading to a major in Plant and Soil Science is designed for students interested in agronomy, horticulture, and/or soil sciences. Students may choose to concentrate on either one of these areas within this major.

A major in Plant and Soil Science requires a minimum of 43 semester hours of courses to include

  1. 24 hours in Plant and Soil Science;
  2. an additional three (3)  hours from ABAS as indicated under the Plant and Soil Science major requirements; and
  3. a general core of ABAS 1000 ; ABAS 1410 ; ABAS 1610 ; ABAS 2210 ; ABAS 3130 ; and ABAS 3340 .

A minor from another department is required.
