PHOT 1050 - Basic Digital Photography and Imaging

3 credit hours
(Same as EMC 1050 .) Introduces digitally based still photography; principles, methods, theory, and practice for non-photography majors. Emphasis placed on the digital single lens reflex (D-SLR) camera. Explores exposure, metering, focus, depth of field, lenses, basic lighting, design elements, and composition. Basic principles of digital photographic capture discussed. Students responsible for providing a digital single lens reflex (D-SLR) camera. Laboratory required. Lecture/lab.
