MRAT 5440 - Critical Listening

3 credit hours

Prerequisite: MRAT 6050 with C or better. Ear-training and aesthetics for recording engineers. Class activities involve listening and analysis of master tape and disc formats. Sources include a wide variety of music genres as well as specialized technical ear-training materials. Development of a vocabulary for communication of aural impressions. Introduction to “high-end” audio.
