GS 2990 - Introduction to Globalization3 credit hours Required of all Global Studies majors. Broad-based course that explores concepts and history of globalization including forms and processes. Introduces historical antecedents and contemporary issues of globalization such as globalism versus globalization, globalization and Americanization, migration and cultural diffusion, civil discord, global and regional governance, technology, environment, media, gender and inequality, regionalisms, and the cultural landscapes of globalization/globalism.
