ECE 4320 - Assessing Young Children3 credit hours
Prerequisites: ECE 2350 /CDFS 2350 , ECE 3310 /CDFS 3310 , and admission to teacher education program. In-depth study of assessment and evaluation of child development and early childhood environments for the purpose of planning instructional programs and environments for young children (birth-8). Strategies for gathering and recording information about children, including families and other professionals in the assessment process, and evaluation environments emphasized. Three hours lecture/discussion.
