3 credit hoursPrerequisites: SPED 3010, SPED 3430, SPED 3440; admission to teacher education program. Examines ways the special educator/consultant interacts with general educators, educational systems, communities, families, and learners to create appropriate educational services for exceptional learners. Examines group processes, human behavior related to interaction, and the provision of skills and knowledge critical to effective collaboration and consultation with others about the education of learners with special needs.
