GEOL 3050 - Field Methods in Geology

2 credit hours
Prerequisites: MATH 1720  or MATH 1730 ; GEOL 1030 /GEOL 1031  or GEOL 1040 /GEOL 1041  and GEOL 1050 ; major or minor in Geoscience. Introduction to field observation in geoscience. Topics include tape and compass surveys, triangulation, orientation of rock strata, measurement of stratigraphic section, map preparation, and use of GPS. Two hours lecture/field work per week.
